Stricken with a sudden heart attack,Hugh M. Fleming died at his home,116 Linden avenue at 6:15 a.m. Sunday morning,September 25,1932. Seemingly enjoying good health,Mr. Fleming had attended to his duties as foreman of the field fence department of the Pittsburgh Steel Saturday and was down town with his friends until 11 o'clock Saturday night. Returning home he complained of not feeling well, and several times during the night awoke to complain, but it was believed he was suffering from a return of indigestion from which he had suffered recent attacks following an operation over a year ago for appendicitis. Mrs. Fleming was up and about the home, having sent one of the children to early Mass and she went to her husband's room just in time to see him breathe his last. Mr. Fleming came to Monessen 25 years ago from Nova Scotia, and since that time had been employed at the Pittsburgh Steel plant. He was 45 years of age and besides his wife,Mrs. Celestia Fleming,he is survived by the following children, Richard,22,Eleanor,18,Robert,13,and Jesse 6;also one brother,Alexander,of Richmond,Va. Funeral services will be held Wednesday with Mass at 9 a.m.,at St. Leonard's Church with interment following in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
