Obituary

Andrew Ebenhoch, 70, of Belle Vernon, died in Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh at 3:05 o'clock Sunday afternoon,September 9,1951.   He was an assessor for Washington township and formerly acted as tax collector of Washington township for 22 years. Deceased was a member of the Fayette City Methodist Church, Fairhope Rod and Gun Club, Belle Vernon Lodge No. 643, F. & A. M. Uniontown Lodge of Perfection, Pittsburgh Consistory, Syria Temple, Monessen Royal Arch Chapter No. 290 and Donora Valley Council No. 49 and was formerly a member of Washington Council No. 1, M. C. Kean Commandry No. 80, Knights Templar. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Sara M. Ebenhock; two children, Mrs. William Paul Jenkins of New York City and Dr. Reginald A. Hancock of Mount Lebanon, and three sisters, Mrs. A. N. Gartley and Miss Kathryn Ebenhoch of Huntington Park,Cal.,and Mrs.Grace Jackson of Elm Grove,W.Va.  The body was taken to the Melenyzer funeral home where the funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon with Rev.Alfred Deemer,pastor of the Fayette City Methodist Church,officiating.  Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
