Mrs.Sara Etheridge Dodd;formerly of Belle Vernon;died at her home in Chambersburg;Tuesday;December 7;1948;at 10:15 p.m. She was born in St.Helens;England;August 13;1873;the daughter of George and Clara Etheridge;and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon for over sixty years. She was a life-long resident of Belle Vernon until the family moved to Chambersburg in 1944. She is survived by her husband;George L.Dodd;one daughter;Mrs.Virginia Dodd Cooper of Chambersburg;and one brother;Joseph A.Etheridge of Bridgeville. Friends will be received at the Melenyzer Funeral Home after 10 a.m. Friday;December 10. services will be held there Friday at 2:30 p.m.in charge of Rev.George L.Kress. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Chas.L.Melenyzer is the funeral director.
