Joseph Drotar, Jr. 16,a former resident of Pricedale,was accidently killed in an accident on a farm near his home in Nutwood, Ohio on Monday, June 28,1948. According to reports he was killed when a tractor he was riding upset and he was caught beneath it. He was helping a farm crew put up hay when the tractor overturned. He was a student in Rostraver township schools and a member of the Pricedale Union Church. Survivors include his mother,Catherine;his father, Joseph,Sr.; paternal grandfather, John Drotar of Pricedale and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Barney Theiser of Gibsonton. Two sisters, Catherine Marie and Agnes Lorraine, both at home, also survive. Friends will be received at the Melenyzer Funeral Home. Services will be held there Friday,July 2,1948,at 2 p.m.,in charge of Rev. George Guest. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Chas. L. Melenyzer is the funeral director.
