71 years; wife of Archie Dawson;
died Friday;January 16;1948; at her home; 223
Fourth street; following a lingering
illness. She was born in
Hereford; England . The family
came to Monessen in 1904.
Mrs. Dawion was a member of
the Monessen Woman’s club and
the Macabees.
Surviving are her husband; and
the following children; Miss Clara
Dawson; a teacher in the Monessen
public schools; Mrs. Donald
Skekel of Monessen; Alvin Dawson of
Boston; Massachusetts; Edwin and
Harold Dawson of Monessen. A
sister; Mrs. George Warner; of
Swissvale; and a brother; Ernest
Davies of Tionesta; Ohio; also survive.
Friends are being received at
the Harper Memorial Chapel; on Mckee avenue;where funeral services will be held Monday afternoon;January 19;1948;at 2 o’clock;with Dr.Ted V.Voorhees;of the Methodist Church;officiating. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold G.Harper;funeral director.
