William Dowling;aged 72 years;was found dead Monday evening;Dec.28;1925;at 6 p.m.in an alley near the Baird Marble Shop;Belle Vernon. The body of the aged man;whose death it is believed resulted from a stroke of apoplexy;was found lying in the alley by C.S.Hixenbaugh;who was passing that way. The body was carried by Mr.Hixenbaugh to the residence of Frank Campbell;who lives nearby;and a physician was called;but it was learned that the aged man had passed away. Mr.Dowling made his home with his sister;Miss Mary Dowling;on Grant street and was delivering a washing to Mrs.Frank Morgan when stricken. The body was removed to Toner’s undertaking establishment;where it is being prepared for burial. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon;;Dec.31;1925;at 1 o’clock from his residence on Grant street;Belle Vernon. Interment will take place in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
