Obituary

Pfc. Ralph W. Collins,age 23 years,of Pricedale,veteran of World War Two,died in Allegheny General hospital,Wednesday, January 20,1944,at 8:25 a.m.after a brief illness.  He was honorably discharged from the United States Army on October 31,1942.  He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Myrtle Collins of Pittsburgh,his father, William Collins of New Castle;two brothers,Pvt. Fred Collins of Adair, Oregon,and Pvt. William Collins of the United States Marines,stationed at Camp Lejuene,North Carolina and one sister, Mrs. Jacqueline Tate of Pittsburgh. Friends will be received at the Toner Funeral home and military services will be held there Monday,January 24,1944,at 2 p.m.  Rev. George Guest will have charge of services and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Harold R. Toner is the funeral director.
