Mrs. Lillian McCarthy Barnes,aged 61 years,R.D.1,Arnold City,died Thursday morning,July 24,1952,at 4:40 a.m. at her home following a lingering illness. She is survived by four sons,Ralph McCarthy of New York City,Arthur McCarthy,Curtis McCarthy,and William Barnes,at home;two daughters,Mrs. Burnita Dews,of Arnold City,and Mrs. Ernestine Freeman of Monessen;three sisters,Betty Walker and Mrs. Diana White,both of Staunton,Va.,and Mrs. Peggy Dunn of Brooklyn, N.Y.and 12 grandchildren. Friends will be received at the late home after 12 o'clcok noon Saturday. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 11 o'clock from the Antioch Baptist Church in Belle Vernon with Rev. H.A.S. Cooke of Monessen officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Beverly C. Draper,funeral director.
