Carlyle Beatty,48,manager of the clothing department,Collins Department Store,and for many years active in affairs of the Southwest Pennsylvania Fire Chiefs Association,died at his home at 312 Second St.,at 5 a.m.on Sunday,April 30,1950. Cause of death was not ascribed but was wholly unexpected. He was a member of the First Methosist Church,Belle Vernon,and a native of that community. Survivors include his wife,Mrs.Helen Munch Beatty,one son,John W.,a brother,Milton Beatty,Jr.of Monessen and a sister,Mrs.Forrest Doyle,of Speers.Friends will be received at the Melenyzer Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. Services will be held there Wednesday,May 3,1950,at 2 p.m.,in charge of Rev.K.Warriston McCracken of the Charleroi Presbyterian Church,and Rev.C.W.Campbell of the First Methodist Church of Belle Vernon. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Chas.L.Melenyzer is the funeral director.
