Obituary

Roy N.Baker,a resident of Monessen for a number of years,died Monday,August,27,1945,at at 3 a.m.at the family home,556 Donner avenue.  He had been employed as a pipe fitter at the Pittsburgh Steel company.  Surviving are his wife,Mrs.Florence Baker,and a daughter,Madeline.  A sister,Mrs.Charles Crowe,of Monessen,and five brothers,Harry,Earl and Ralph,of Monessen,Oscar of Long Branch Borough,and Louis,of North Charleroi,also survive.  Friends will be received at the Check Funeral Home until Thursday,August 30,1945,at 8:30 a.m.,when funeral services will be held,followed by additional rites at St.Leonard's Church with Father Owen J.Kirby officiating.  Interment will follow at the Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Joseph R.Check,funeral director in charge.
