Obituary

Henry Byron died Thursday morning,May 28,1936,at 6:30 o'clock at his home,903 Graham street,North Belle Vernon,after a short illness. He had been a resident of Belle Vernon for the past twenty-five years and during that time was employed at the Pittsburgh Steel company in this city. Surviving are his wife,Mary Ann Byron,three daughters,Mrs.Willaim Jodan,Mrs.Peter Horan and Mrs.Glenn Mills,all of Monessen,also seven sons,John,James,William and Harry Byron,all of Monessen,Edward Byron, of Colver,Pa.,Robert Byron, of Blairsville,and Earl McCall, of Belle Vernon. Two sisters,Mrs.Elizabeth Hays,of Pratt City,Alabama,and Mrs.Margaret Twist,of Pittsburgh,Kansas,also survive,along with two brothers,Thomas Byron,of Phillipsburg,and William Byron,of Monessen,thirty-three grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services are announced for Sunday,May 31,at 2 p.m.from the late home,with Rev.Lester M.Worthy,pastor of the Episcopal Churches at Monessen and Monongahela,officiating. He will be assisted by Rev.H.C.Dunn,of the Union Church at Pricedale. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
