Obituary

Mrs. Aline Soupley Billger, aged 22 years, wife of Harry D. Billger, of Belle Vernon, died Saturday afternoon January 31,1931, at 12:45 o'clock, in the Charleroi-Monessen hospital,of complications following two operations performed earlier in the week. Her death was unexpected, a host of friends here and in the valley being shocked at its suddenness. Mrs. Hillger, who was the daughter of Mrs. Mary Soupley, of 400 Oakland avenue, would have been 23 years old had she lived one more day. She was a bride of four months, having been married last September 30,and since that time had resided in Belle Vernon. She was a devout member of the Washington avenue Presbyterian Church and participated in all its activities. She attended Sunday school and was enrolled as a member of the Westminster Guild. For the past six years she was a clerk in the Charleroi Savings and Trust Company, following her graduation in 1925 from Charleroi High school. She was born and reared in Charleroi. Surviving besides her husband and mother are two brothers, Jules and Ray and a sister, Alice, all at home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon,February 3,1931 at 2 o'clock from the home of her mother, 400 Oakland avenue, with Rev. Frank S. Montgomery, pastor of the Washington Avenue Presbyterian Church, in charge. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
