Obituary
Zora Beatty,87,formerly of Grant Street,Belle Vernon,died Wednesday,April 25,2001,in Monongahela Valley Hospital. A daughter of the late Frank and Julia Malison Zubovic,she was born in Fayette City on July 4,1913. She was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon and the Ladies Guild of the church,the American Croatian Ladies Auxiliary of Monessen and the Belle Vernon,Fayette City and West Newton Golden Agers. Mrs. Beatty had lived in Belle Vernon since 1934,and was formerly of Charleroi. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law,James C. and Mary Beatty of San Antonio, Texas,Paul E. and Virginia Beatty of North Charleroi and Raymond F. and Nancy Beatty of Bethel Park;two grandsons,James and Roger Beatty;three granddaughters,Laura Beatty,Rhonda Haniford,and Rita Kellogg;three brothers,Paul Zubovic of Belle Vernon,Frank Zubovic of Uniontown and Edward Zubovic of Donora;and two sisters,Jeannie Rehnert of Pottsville and Kathryn Germak of Port Vue. In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her husband,James H. Beatty on Feb. 15,1979;three brothers,Jacob,Francis and Peter Zubovic;and three sisters, Alice Pivarnick,Barbara Gluz and Margaret Parsons. Friends will be received in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,a Golden Rule member firm,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Blessing service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 10 a.m.,followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Sebastian R.C.Church at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Legion of Mary of St. Sebastian Church will meet in the funeral home to recite the Rosary on Friday at 3 p.m.
