John Yerga Sr.,of 1520 Meadow Ave.,Monessen,died Sunday,November 1,1964 at 9 a.m. in Monongahela Memorial Hospital after an illness of several months. Born in Czechoslovakia,he had been a Monessen resident for over 50 years. Mr. Yerga,a retired employee of the Somers No, 4 Mine of Consolidation Coal Corporation,was a member of the Slovak G.U. Sokol of Monessen. Surviving aree his widow, Judith;one son, John Jr. of Monessen;four daughters, Mrs. Milan (Mollie) Bezuska of monessen, Mrs. john(Helen) Sullivan and Mrs. Carl (Julia) helde of new York City and Mrs. Frank (Margaret) Piergalski f Uniontown;three grandchildren and one sister in Europe. Friends will be received at the R.A. Billick Funeral Home,Monessen,after 7 p.m. Nov. 2. Service there Wednesday, Nov. 4,at 2 p.m. in charge of the Rev. John H. Schulz,pastor of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Monessen. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. R.A. Billick,funera ldirector.
