Bertha I.Yost,83,of Belle Vernon R.D.1,died in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital Sunday June 7,1964 at 7:40 p.m. She had resided in the Belle Vernon R.D.1 area for the past two years,formerly living in Monessen for 46 years. Mrs.Yost was a member of the Methodist Church of Monessen. She was born in McKeesport Aug. 9,1880. Her husband,Philip,died June 21,1956. Surviving are one son, Chester L.of Belle Vernon R.D.1;two daughters, Mrs. John A. (Bertha Mae) Berletic of Cooksburg,and Mrs. Matthew (Iretta) Lynch of Belle Vernon R.D.3;six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Grandchildren include Mrs. Jack Kerr,Russell L. Yost and Mrs. Betty McCauley,all of R.D.1,Belle Vernon. Friends will be received at the Edwin Melenyzer Funeral Home in Monessen after 7 p.m. on June 8. Visiting hours will then be 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Service there Wednesday,June 10,at 2 p.m. in charge of the Rev. Jackson Gabany,pastor of the Methodist Church,Monessen.
