Philip Winfield Yost,aged 75 years,of 1008 Donner avenue,Monessen,died Wednesday,June 20,1956,at 4:45 p.m. at his late home. A resident of Monessen for the past 41 years,the deceased was a member of the First Methodist Church of Monessen. He had worked at the American Sheet and Tinplate Co.in Monessen and had been employed at the Ptttsburgh Steel Co.plant here for 19 years. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bertha Yost and the following children: Chester L. Yost,of Belle Vernon;Mrs. John (Bertha Mae) Berletic,of McKeesport and Mrs.Matthew (Iretta) Lynch,of Belle Vernon R.D. Six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive. Friends will be received at the Harper Memorial Chapel,649 McKee avenue,after 7 o'clock on Monday, June 21. Funeral services will be held Saturday,June 23,at 2 p.m. from the funeral home,with Dr. Leroy Cass,pastor of the First Methodist Church of Monessen officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harry G. Harper,funeral director.
