Richard B. (Dick) Weightman Sr.of Belle Vernon R.D.4 died Tuesday;Nov.29;1977;at 5:31 p.m.in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. He was 73. Born in Fayette City;Sept.30;1904;he was the son of the late William H.and Myrtle Campbell Weightman. Mr.Weightman attended the Rehoboth Presbyterian Church;Rostraver Twp. He was a member for 51 years and the past master of the Gummert Lodge Number 252 F & AM of Fayette City. He also served as secretary of the lodge for 15 years. He was a retired employee of the Lincoln Homes Corp.;Elizabeth;and was a resident of Rostraver Twp.for the past 19 years. Mr.Weightman is survived by his widow;Viola Colvin Weightman;one son;R.Byron Weightman Jr.of Belle Vernon;one daughter;Mrs.James H.(Janice) Miller of Whitehall;one brother;Fred C.Weightman of Fayette City;and five grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon from 7 to 9 p.m.Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Thursday. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home Friday at 11 a.m.with the Rev.Allie A.Clayton;pastor of the Rehoboth Church;and Rev.Charles Colas;pastor of the First Baptist Church;Belle Vernon;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
