Laura Washington of 116 Scalavrini Ave.;Belle Vernon;died Thursday;Feb.13;1975;at 11:40 p.m.in the Monongahela Division of Mon Valley Hospital at the age of 57. Mrs.Washington had resided in this area since 1940. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church;Belle Vernon. Surviving are her husband;James L.Washington;one daughter;Annie Laurie Wright of Washington;D.C.;one son;David Washington;at home;two aunts;Jessie Daniels of Pallatoosa;Ga.;and Rose Vaughn of Chicago;Ill.;and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received after 7 p.m.on Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.on Sunday at the William R.Taylor Funeral Home;645 McMahon Ave.;Monessen. The body will lie in state from 6 p.m.Monday until 11 a.m.;on Tuesday at the Antioch Baptist Church;Belle Vernon. Services will be held at the church on Tuesday at 11 a.m.;with the Rev.A.C.Morris;pastor;officiating. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. William R.Taylor Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
