John S.Whitelaw;65;of Belle Vernon R.D.4;died Tuesday;Nov.9;1971;at 9:55 a.m. in the Waddington Nursing Home;Fayette City R.D.1. He was born in Belle Vernon;a son of the late Robert S.and Margaret Hough Whitelaw. He was a member of the Christian Church of Belle Vernon. He was a veteran of World War II;having served in the Army. He was a retired plant security employee at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel’s Allenport Works. He once served as police officer for Fayette City and Roscoe. He was a member of the Fayette City Volunteer Fire Co. Surviving are his son;John O.Whitelaw of Phoenix;Ariz.;one daughter;Mrs.Grace McMillen of Grindstone;one brother;Robert E.Whitelaw of Belle Vernon;six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;where a service will be held Friday;Nov.12;at 1:30 p.m.with the Rev.Bruce Smith of the Fayette City Christian Church officiating.
