Obituary

John S.Whitelaw,65,of Belle Vernon R.D.4,died Tuesday,Nov.9,1971,at 9:55 a.m. in the Waddington Nursing Home,Fayette City R.D.1. He was born in Belle Vernon,a son of the late Robert S.and Margaret Hough Whitelaw. He was a member of the Christian Church of Belle Vernon. He was a veteran of World War II,having served in the Army. He was a retired plant security employee at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel's Allenport Works. He once served as police officer for Fayette City and Roscoe. He was a member of the Fayette City Volunteer Fire Co. Surviving are his son,John O.Whitelaw of Phoenix,Ariz.,one daughter,Mrs.Grace McMillen of Grindstone,one brother,Robert E.Whitelaw of Belle Vernon,six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,where a service will be held Friday,Nov.12,at 1:30 p.m.with the Rev.Bruce Smith of the Fayette City Christian Church officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Howard W.McCrory,funeral director.
