Obituary

A Bentleyville man was dead on arrival on Wednesday night,Aug. 27,1969,at 6:45 p.m. at Washington (Pa.) Hospital after falling at his home. Charles Alvin Whitlock,55,of 130 Pittsburgh Road,suffered injuries when he fell down a flight of stairs. A coal miner,Mr. Whitlock is survived by his widow,Badgalee;three sons, William and Walter of Newark,N.J.,and Charles Jr. of Montclair,N.J.;four daughters,Mrs. Calvin (Doris) Smith and Mrs. Benjamin (Marlene) Allen,both of Pricedale,Mrs. Edgar (Pat) Samuels of Willingboro,N.J.,and Mrs. James (Joyce) Montaque of Rochelle,N.J.;a sister,Mrs. Dorothy Funitio of Aliquippa;one brother,Charles Jackson of Bentleyville;29 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends are being received at the William R. Taylor Funeral Home,Monessen,from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.  Service in the funeral home chapel Saturday,Aug. 30,at 1 p.m. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery.  William R.Taylor,funeral director.
