Obituary

Andrew Wassilchalk, 52, of 1118 Monongahela St., Belle Vernon, died Tuesday,Jan.26,1968,at 8:40 p.m. in Charleroi - Monessen Hospital where he was admitted on Monday. Mr. Wassilchalk was born in Pricedale, a son of Nicholas and Anna Pish Wassilchalk. He was employed in the rod mill of the Monessen plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co. until his retirement in 1966. A member of Holy Resurrection O r t h o dox Church, Belle Vernon, he was a veteran of World War n having served with the U. S. Army. He belonged to the American Legion Post 659 of Belle Vernon and Citizens Association of Pricedale. Surviving are his widow, Kathleen Daugherty Wassilchalk, three children, Andrew R., Winifred A. and Nicholas, all at home, four brothers, John and Michael, Belle Vernon, Peter of Ontario, Calif, and Danny of Fellsburg, four sisters, Mrs. Michael (Mary) Bashada ST., Belle Vernon, Mrs. Ted (Theresa) Belsick, Fairhope, Mrs. Frank (Ann) Tallerico, Monessen and Mrs. Joseph (Pearl) Makar, Carnegie. Friends wifl be received at the Harold R. Toner Funeral Home, Belle Vernon, after 2 p.m. Sunday,Jan.28,1968. Parastas services will be held Sunday at 8 p.m. and Monday at 9 p.m.at the funeral home.
