Obituary

Joseph Francis Walkush,80,of 715 Hill street,Belle Vernon,died in the Brownsville hospital,October 20,1957,at 11:31 a.m. He was a member of St.Sebastian church of Belle Vernon,and the Catholic Jednota lodge of Monessen. He was a retired coal miner. Surviving are three sons,Carl of Cleveland,Ohio,Joseph,Jr. and Melvin of Belle Vernon,eight daughters,Mrs.George (Anna) Moxin,Perryopolis,Mrs.Clarence (Helen) McCullough,Belle Vernon,Mrs. Harry (Augustine) Ezolt,Monessen,Mrs.Jerome (Mary) Altieri,Pittsburgh,Mrs.Albert (Frances) Curcio,Newell,Mrs.David (Irene) Boyce of Miami,Florida,Mrs.William(Mildred) Miller,Belle Vernon,and Mrs.Donald(Cecelia) Sweitzer of Belle Vernon,thirty-one grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Ferguson Funeral Home during hours of 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Requiem high mass will be sung in St.Sebastian church,Wednesday,October 23,at 10 a.m.,and interment will follow in Belle Vernon cemetery.
