Lee L.Vaughen of 351 Pennsylvania avenue;North Charleroi;died in the Charleroi-Monessen hospital;November 24;1953;at 10:40 a.m. Mr.Vaughen was born in Johnstown;Pa.;November 6;1882;the son of Benjamin F.and Anna E.Bingle Vaughen. He came to Charleroi twenty-nine years ago from Beaver Falls;and was employed as an accountant at the Allenport plant of the Pittsburgh Steel company. He was a former Burgess of North Charleroi and also served as a school director in that borough. He is survived by two sons;Lieutenant Commander William Vaughen;stationed in Japan with the United States Navy;Richard at home;Miss Betty Vaughen at home;two brothers;Kenneth E.Vaughen of Monessen and Frank Vaughen of Peoria;Illinois;one sister;Elizabeth Vaughen of Portsmouth;Ohio and three grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Francis C.Slezak Funeral Home. Services will be held there Saturday;November 28;1953;at 10 a.m.;in charge of Rev.Joseph N.Wittkofski;and interment will follow in Belle Vernon cemetery. Francis C.Slezak is the funeral director.
