Obituary

Lawrence Teano,a former member of Belle Vernon Borough Council,died suddenly Sunday,March 16,1975,at 3:05 p.m. in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. He was 63. Mr.Teano,a resident of Belle Vernon most of his life,had resided at 237 Main St.,Belle Vernon. Born April 22,1911,in Shinnston,W.Va.,he was a son of the late John and Flora Accquinta Teano. Mr.Teano was a barber by trade and operated a shop at 235 Main St.,Belle Vernon,for many years. Mr.Teano was a member of St.Sebastian Church,Belle Vernon,and Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Department. He also belonged to Fayette County Firemen's Association and the Western Pennsylvania Firemen's Association. Surviving are two brothers,Sam Teano and Sylvester (Babe) Teano,both of Belle Vernon,and two sisters,Mrs.Theresa Oliver and Mrs.Pasquelina Stankovics,both of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m.on Monday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.on Tuesday at the Toner-Essey Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where a blessing service will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m.at St.Sebastian Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner and Gerald R.Essey,funeral directors,in charge of arrangements.
