Obituary

Dr. Amerigo Frank Tesi, 63, a native of Belle Vernon, a professor of clothing and textiles at Pennsylvania State University, died Tuesday,March 30,1971, of an apparent heart attack. He was born in Belle Vernon on April 13,1907,a son ot the late Joseph and Caroline Marini Tesi. He joined the Penn State faculty in 1962, and was widely known in the textiles industry. He was author of sections on acetate and triacetate fibers of a book, Man-Made Textile Encyclopedia. and co-author of a chapter on the same fibers in Encyclopedia on Chemical Technology. He had published many articles in journals and trade publications on textiles, research, dyeing and finishing and standards for consumer goods. | Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Inez Del Debbio Tesi, a son,Kenneth J.of Birmingham,Mich., two daughters,Mrs.George Kantor of Dayton,Ohio,and Mrs.Jerry Ogler of Tampa,Fla.,one brother, Guido Tesi of Belle Vernon, two sisters, Mrs Charles Gennaula of Charleroi and Mrs. Albert Venneri of Monessen, and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday,April 2,1971. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
