Mrs. Leitha Leola Turner, 68, of Graham Ave.,Monessen,died Thursday, May 1,1969 at 9:45 p.m. in Charleroi-Monessen Hosptial after a brief illness. Born in Rockhold,Ky.,Oct. 13,1900,she had lived in Monessen since 1930. Her husband,Samuel, died Dec. 30,1967. Mrs. Turner was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church of Monessen, served on its nurses board and belonged to its Circle of Esther, She also belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of the Joseph H. Ford Post 691,American Legion, Monessen. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Hamsey of Whitsett and Mrs. Eva Woods of Monesen; many nieces and nephews,including James Lowe of McClellandtown,whom she raised. Friends will be received at the Beverly C. Draper Funeral Home from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Service on Monday May 5 at 11 a.m. in Fellowship Baptist Church,Monessen. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Beverly C. Draper is the funeral director.
