Obituary

Michael (Pickles) Soroka, 63, of 101 Belle Vernon Apartments, formerly of 207 Roberts St., Lynnwood, Washington Twp., died Wednesday,Oct.,27,1976,at 6:30 p.m. in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was a lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area, an employe of Wheeling- Pittsburgh Steel Corp.'s Allenport Plant for the past 40 years and a member of the Fairhope Rod and Gun Club. Preceding him in death were his father, John, in 1942, his mother, Catherine, in 1975, two sisters, Mrs. Ann Mattia in 1969 and Mrs. Mary Dunlevich in 1972, and one brother, Nick, in 1973. Surviving are one daughter, (Barbara) Vance of Carlisle, Pa., and one son, Ronald Soroka of Brooklyn, N.Y. Friends will be received in the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday,Oct.30,1976 until 2p.m., the time if a Blessing service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
