Mrs.Gertrude E.Sherield of 515 Main st.;Belle Vernon;died at her home on Friday;Oct.1;1976 at 11:20 a.m. She was 73. Mrs. Sherield was born Sept.17;1903 in Brownsville and spent most of her life in Belle Vernon. She was a member of Speers St. A.M.E.Church;Belle Vernon. She was preceded in death by her husband;Soloman Sherield on Aug.15;1967;and son;Albert (Skeezix) Sherield;in Nov.1950. Mrs.Sherield is survived by three sisters;Miss Edith Johnson of New York City;Mrs.Orella Osborne of Belle Vernon;and Miss Barbara Johnson of Monessen;a brother;Arthur Johnson of Pittsburgh;and three grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Beverly C.Draper Funeral Home;608 Sixth St.;Monessen;from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Monday. Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m.in Speers St. A.M.E.Church;Belle Vernon with Rev.S.W.Chambers;pastor;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
