Obituary
Abe Stewart,84,of 418 Rear Fifth St.,California,Pa,died Monday Sept. 13,1976 at 2:45 a.m.in Brownsville General Hospital. He was born Dec. 2,1892 in California,the son of the late Thomas and Matilda Burner Stewart. Mr. Stewart was a member of California United Methodist Church and Vesta Rod and Gun Club of California and was a retired steelworker. Surviving are his widow, Ruth Humphries Boyle Stewart;one son,Burner Stewart of California;one granddaughter,Mrs. Donna Frew of Hanvoer,Pa,;and one great-granddaughter,Dana Frew of Hanover. Friends will be received at the Caleffie & Greenlief Funeral Home,Fourth and Wood St.,California,Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Thursday Sept.16,1976 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. A. James Becker of California United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Caleffie & Greenlief Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
