Valley Hospital.
He was born in Speers on
Sept 14; 1903; son of the late
William and Nora Jackman
Steele.
Mr Steele had resided in
Belle Vernon the past 41
years; formerly having lived
in Speers.
He belonged to the Belle
Vernon F&AM Lodge 643;
Consistory at Coudersport and
the Shrine of Pittsburgh.
He formerly owned and
operated his own heavy
equipment company and more
recently was employed by the
Pennsylvania Department of
Transportation (PennDOT);
retiring in 1972.
Surviving is his widow;
Loretto Flick Steele.
Friends will be received at
the Shelby D. Ferguson
Funeral Home; Belle Vernon;from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Tuesday. Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 a.m.with the Rev.Charles K.Sowden of the Fredericktown United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Masonic Services will be held by Belle Vernon Lodge 643 on Tuesday at 7 p.m.at the funeral home. Shelby D.Ferguson is funeral director in charge.
