Alfaretta Todd Smith;74;of 503 Mikula Road;Arnold City;Belle Vernon;died Monday;Sept.1;1975 at 5 a.m.in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital;after a lengthy illness. She was born in Rostraver Twp.on June 10;1901;daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Porter Todd. A former school teacher;Mrs.Smith had taught in the Monessen and Belle Vernon area schools for over 35 years. She was a member of the Pennsylvania State Education Association;Olive Branch Baptist Church and Fayette City Woman’s Club. Surviving are her husband;Allen F.Smith;one brother;William Todd of Belle Vernon R.D.4;one sister;Mrs.Ray (Martha) Stephens of Belle Vernon R.D.3 and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;after 7 p.m.Tuesday. Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m.at the funeral home with the Rev.Albert D.Bolster of Olive Branch Baptist Church;Rostraver Twp.;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
