Roscoe Smalley of Roscoe died Thursday, July 31,1975 in Monongahela Division of Mon Valley Hospital. He had been a resident of Cain Home for the elderly in Monongahela and was 79. He was born Nov. 15,1896,in New York and was a retired coal miner. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and Eagles Club, both of California. Survivors include three daughters, Dorothy Ruth Smally of California,Mrs. Betty Gauden of Virginia and Mrs. Jerry Benini of Charleroi; five sisters, and two brothers,all in the Philadelphia area;seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday,Aug. 2,and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday,Aug. 3,in the Ed Melenyzer Funeral Home,Inc.,Roscoe.
