Raymond E.Shultz Sr.;67;of 940 Athalia Ave.;Monessen;died Tuesday;July 29;1975;at 7:45 p.m.in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley hospital after being stricken ill at his home. Born Oct.1;1907;in Belle Vernon;he was a son of the late Harry and Mary Osborne Shultz and had resided in Monessen for a number of years. He retired in 1965 as a pipefitter in the blooming mill at the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He had been active for many years in Monessen No.1Fire Department and was a member of the Western Pennsylvania Firemen’s Association. He was also a member of the Mon Valley Retired Steelworkers. Surviving are his widow;Mrs.Lempi Nyrhinen Shultz;two sons;Raymond Jr.and Sheldon;both of Columbus;Ohio;three daughters;Mrs.Joyce Eckenroad;with whom he resided; Shirley Shultz and Mrs.Cecil (Sheila) Camden;both of Columbus;Ohio;nine grandchildren;two brothersJohn Shultz of Charleroi R.D. and George Shultz of Monongahela and one sister;Mrs.Hilda Gaugh of Monongahela R.D.1. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m.Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Thursday in Rhome Funeral Home;Inc.1209 Grand Blvd.;Monessen;where services will be held in the chapel at 10 a.m.Friday;with the Rev.Howard E.Kennedy of the First United Methodist Church of Monessen in charge.
