A California State College student from Monessen was killed Sunday, Sept.,1,1974 in a two-car crash near State College. Lynne P. Svec,20,daugthter of Mr. and Mrs. George Svec of Monessen was dead on arrival at Tyrone Hospital. She was a passenger in a car driven by her fiancee, Thomas Carson,20,of Coal Center. Carson is in Tyrone Hospital. Cars driven by Carson and Susan Kulezma,19,of Brownsville collided on Route 45,about 20 miles west of State College. According to State Police,the cars collided on slippery pavement.
