Mike (Matt) Sholtis;307 Ohio St.;Pricedale;died Wednesday;June 13;1973;at 9:50 a.m.in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital after a lingering illness. He was born in Razdilla;Western Ukraine;in 1886 and had lived in Pricedale since 1908. Mr.Sholtis was a retired coal miner and belonged to the Russian Orthodox Fraternal Lodge of Pricedale and Local Union 1787;Retired Coal Miners;of California. Surviving are eight nieces and six nephews;including two in the immediate area;Nicholas Druash and Stephen Druash;of Monessen; Friends are being received at the Harold R.Toner-Gerald R.Essey Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon from 7 to 9 p.m.Thursday and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.Friday. Parasates service will be held Friday;8 p.m.;at the funeral home. Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m.with the Rev.Nicholas Fedorovich;pastor of St.Nicholas Ukranian Orthodox Church;Monessen;officiating.
