Bessie Swan of 524 Washington Ave.;Charleroi;died Thursday;Aug.31;at 4 p.m. in West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born in Belle Vernon on Dec.17;1890;she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Sarah Redman Simpson and the widow of the late John T.Swan who died in 1935. Mrs. Swan is survived by three daughters;Mrs.Frank (Elma) Vaccariello;Euclid;Ohio;Mrs.Ben (Vella) Balisterri;Garfield Heights;Ohio;and Mrs.John (Zala) Haluschak;Charleroi;six sons;John;Belle Vernon;Richard;West Mifflin;Zeryl and Ray;both of Charleroi;Donald;Gillespie;Illinois;and Bernard;Parma Heights;Ohio;13 grandchildren;19 great-grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Harold Schrock Funeral Home;Charleroi;today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Sunday;Sept.3 at 1:30 p.m.;with the Rev.Pauline Burke officiating. Interment will follow at the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
