Agnes M. Stockton,73,of Belle Vernon R.D.3,died at 1:50 p.m. Monday, July 10,1972,at her home after a lingering illness. Mr. Stockus had been a resident of the Valley for 67 years. She was a member of the Monessen Order of Eastern Star 205. Mrs. Stockus was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, who died in March of 1946. Mrs. Stockus is survived by a son, Fred C. Stockus,vice president and manager of the Monessen offices of Mellon Bank,with whom she had made her home;two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Dolly) Lucas of Belle Vernon R.D.2,and Mrs. Frances Jesko of Whitehall;three grandchildren;one sister,Mrs. Anna Noel of Florida;and a brother, Paul Kissel of Fairhope. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday,July 11 at Rhome Funeral Home,1209 Grand Blvd.,Monessen, where private services will be held Wednesday morning,July 12,with the Rev. John A. Graham of First United Presbyterian Church, Monessen,officiating. Burial will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
