Obituary

Clarence Stricklin,60,of 1531 Palmyra Road,Warren,Ohio,died in Trumbull Memorial Hospital at Warren on Friday,June19,1970,at 6 p.m. Born in Whitsett,he was a son of the late Jesse Taylor Stricklin and Sarah Belle Brubaker Stricklin. A veteran of World War II,he had worked for American Welding and Manfacturing Co.in Warren. His wife,Irene Scanlon Stricklin,died July 20,1967. Surviving are two daughters,Mrs.Charles (Myra) Blacka of Country Club Road,Monongahela and Mrs.Godfrey (Shirley) Von Bergen of Warren,Ohio,a brother,Thurman of Perryopolis,three sisters,Mrs.Henry Hein of Key West,Fla.,Mrs.Eve Bird of Belle Vernon R.D.,Mrs.Lucy Ringstead of Elks Place,Belle Vernon and six grandchildren. Friends will be received at Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,after 2 p.m.on Sunday,June 21. Service there Tuesday,June 23,at 1:30 p.m.with the Rev.Frederick C.Burchell,pastor of Fairview United Methodist Church at Wind Ridge,Pa.,officiating. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson is funeral director in charge of arrangements.
