Gary R.Guzzie;54;of Monessen;died Tuesday;April 10;2001;in Jefferson Hospital. He was born Oct.5;1946;in North Charleroi;a son of the late John and Gertrude Hormell Guzzie. He was a member of St.John the Divine Russian Orthodox Church;Monessen;and a former member of the Kiwanis International. An executive chef;he was formerly employed by Waggnors Catering of Cleveland and also worked at the Cleveland Ramada and Airport Sheraton of Cleveland. Survivors include his wife;Bobbie R.Vance Guzzie;one brother;John Guzzie of Belle Vernon;mother-in-law Bertha Fleming;and numerous nieces;nephews;aunts and uncles. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC.;A Golden Rule Funeral Home;1209 Grand Blvd.;Monessen. Services will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday at 1 p.m.with the Very Rev.John C.Horosky officiating.
