George Stihel;Sr.;65;of Fayette City R.D.1 died Monday;Nov.3;1969;at 9:15 a.m. in Brownsville General Hospital after a short illness. The son of the late Stephon and Anna Laupach Stihel;he was born at Mt.Braddock;April 1;1904. A retired coal miner;he was a member of the Holy Spirit R.C.Church of Fayette City. Surviving are his widow;Agnes Rodgers Stibel;two sons;George P.in Vietnam and Leonard of Fayette City;four daughters;Mrs.Veronica Payne of Hiattsville;Md.;Mrs.Agnes Atkinson of Fairhope;Valeria Stihel in Virginia and Rose Mary Stihel at home;five grandchildren and a sister;Mrs.Annie Lasko of Perryopolis. Friends will be received in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City after 7 p.m.Wednesday;where a Prayer service will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m.;followed by Requiem High Mass at 10 a.m.at the Holy Spirit R.C.Church with the Rev.Fr.Joseph Tainilowski as celebrant. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
