Obituary

Harry Nello Sylvester,73,of 1 Graham Ave.,Belle Vernon,died suddenly today at 9:30 a.m. in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. Mr.Sylverter was a former stationary engineer for the old American Sheet and Tin Co.,Monessen,until 1937. He owned and operated a grocerty store in Belle Vernon 35 years,retiring in 1955. He was director of Belle Vernon Cemetery Association and was a member of Free and Accepted Masons Lodge 643,Belle Vernon,being a past master of the lodge and,at the time of his death,secretary. He was a past worthy high priest of Royal Arch Chapter,Monessen,where he was their present treasurer. My.Sylvester instructed at the Masonic School of Instruction in Charleroi. He was born in Bartolini,Italy,July 7,1895. Surviving are his widow,Rose Collart Sylverter,six sisters,Mrs. Olivia Cerini of Donora,Mrs.Helen Trombino and Mrs.Fabiola Niccolai,both of Belle Vernon,Mrs.Mary Breza of Mononghaela,Mrs.Emilia Botsko of Donora,Mrs.Dora Gallo of Belle Vernon R.D. Friends are being received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon. Service there Saturday,Dec.7,at 1:30 p.m. with Dr.S. Arthur Talman,pastor of Belle Vernon's First Presbyterian Church,officiating. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Masonic service at the funeral home Dec 6 at 7 p.m. Shelby D.Ferguson is funeral director.
