Born in Jefferson Township;Fayette County;Feb.12;1887;he was a member of the Christian Church;Fayette City. He was a retired carpenter. Surviving are his widow;Anna Mae Blum Sturgis;two daughters;Mrs.W.D.(Thelma) Barber of Brentwood;Pittsburgh and Mrs.Melvina Bird of San Bernardino;Calif.;two brothers;Richard of Mt.Rainer;Md.;and Louis of Uniontown;two sisters;Melvina Mae Krepps and Blanche C.Brown;both of Felton;Del.;three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Friends are being received at the late home;where funeral services will be held Tuesday;Oct.10;at 2:30 p.m. The Rev.David Snyder;pastor of the Christian Church;Fayette City;will officiate.
