Obituary

Oscar L. Strenske Sr., 78, of
216 Roberts St., Belle Vernon,
died Tuesday,Feb.28,1967,at 9:30 a.m. in
Charleroi - Monessen Hospital.
Mr. Strenske was self-employed as a coal operator and
worked at this job until recently.
He was a member of Rehoboth Presbyterian Church at
Belle Vernon R. D.
Born in Sutersville on Nov. 21,
1888, he was a son of the late
John and Hulda Voelker Strenske. He had lived in the Belle
Vernon area most of his life.
His wife, Ethel Rumble Strenske, died on Feb. 28, 1960.
Surviving are two sons, Oscar L. Jr. of Belle Vernon and
David of Miami, Fla., six
daughters, Mrs. Albert (Helen)
Hart of Charleroi, Mrs. William (Hilda) Cummings of Belle
Vernon, Mrs. Edith Jones of
Miami, Mrs. George (Doris)
Wilson of West Mifflin, Mrs. L.
J. (Betty) Stotler of Hialeah,
Fla., Mrs. John (Patty) Stimmell of Belle Vernon, two
brothers, William Albright of
Belle Vernon, and Amil Albright of Lake Lynn, three sisters, Mrs. Vernon Judd of Duquesne, Mrs. Herman Allshouse of Scottdale and Mrs.
Ernest Bass of Miami, seventeen grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon, after 7 p.m. Wednesday,March 1,1967. Service there Friday,March 3,at 1:30 p.m.with Dr.S.Arthur Talman,pastor of Belle Vernon's First Presbyterian Church,officiating. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director.
