Obituary

Jacob R. Steinmiller Sr., 56, of 815 Washington St.. Belle Vernon died at his home Sunday,Feb.26,1967, at 10 a.m. Mr. Steinmiller retired in October, 1966, from the fabric department of the Monessen plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co. A life-long resident of Belle Vernon, he was a member of the Russian Club, the Hungarian Club, both of Pricedale, and the American Legion Post 659, Belle Vernon. Born in Belle Vernon on March 8, 1910, he was a son of Bertha White Steinmiller and the late Jacob G. Steinmiller. Surviving besides his mother, who lives in Belle Vernon, are his widow, Irene Sabo Steinmiller, a son, Jacob R. Jr. of Baltimore, Md,, one daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Alice) Sedell, and a brother, Herman F., both of Belle Vernon, two sisters, Mrs. Kenneth (Alice) Clifford of Pittsburgh and Mrs. John (Alberta) Brandon of Belle Vernon, four grandchildren. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Feb.27, at the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon. Services there Wednesday March 1,at 1:30 p.m.with the Rev.Charles Colas,pastor of the First Baptist Church in Belle Vernon,officiating. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery.
