Mrs. Catherine Sloboda, 81,died at the home of her daughter,Mrs. Charles DeHainaut of Monongahela,R.D.2,on Tuesday, Dec. 25,1962 at 5:30 p.m. She was born in Czechoslovakia,Jan. 1,1881,and moved to Charleroi from Crucible,Pa. in 1919. She was a member of the St. Jerome R.C. Church of Charleroi. Survivors are five sons,John of Charleroi,Steve of New Jersey,Paul of Indiana, Pa.,Thomas of Monongahela,R.D.,Joseph of Charleroi,R.D.;five daughters, Mrs. Nick (Anna) DeCovich of Detroit, Mich.,Mrs. Charles (Rose) DeHainaut of Monongahela,R.D.,Mrs. Stephen (Mary) Gancy of Charleroi,R.D.,Mrs. Methilda Rechichar of New Salem,Pa.,and Mrs. Denver (Dorothy) Byron of Charleroi,R.D., 29 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Francis C. Slezak Funeral Home,Charleroi,during hours of 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Requiem High Mass will be sung by the Rev. James McKeever at St. Jerome's R.C.Church,Charleroi,on Friday,Dec. 28,at 9 a.m. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Francis C. Slezak,funeral director.
