Lloyd H.(Bunk) Shepler;79;of Monessen;died Friday;June 2;1961;at 9:45 p.m.in the Elks National Home;Bedford;Va.;where he had been a resident the past two months. Mr. Shepler; a member of a pioneer family in the area;was born April 10;1882;on Shepler Hill;which was named after his family;in Rostraver Twp. Most of his life was spent in Monessen. He was a retired employee of U.S.Seel Corp. Mr.Shelper’s wife;Agnes McLuckie Shepler;preceded him in death in 1937. Mr.Shepler was a member of the First Methodist Church of Monessen. He was a life member of the Monessen Elks Lodge 773. He is survived by one son;Harold of Monessen and two sisters;Mrs.Elma Githens of Belle Vernon and Mrs.Ella Tomer of Monessen;three grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the H.Denver Rhome Funeral Home;Monessen;where funeral services will be held Tuesday;June 6;at 2:45 p.m. The Rev.Jackson S.Gabany will officiate.
