He was employed at the American Steel and Wire plant in Donora;and was a member of Quinn Chapel;A.M.E.Church of Donora;Twin lodge 67;F.and A.M.;Monongahela;Mononganeie Valley lodge 208;L.B.P.O.E.of W. He is survived by his wife;Mrs.Dorothy Stokes;two sons;Lawrence;Jr. and Ronald Wayne;two daughters;Deborah and Patricia;his mother;Nina of Charleroi;his father;Master Sergeant Walter L.Stokes;U.S.Army;one brother;Edward of Donora;two sisters;Beatrice Joyner of Charleroi;and Elsie Kennedy of New Kensington. Friends will be received at the Law Funeral Home;Donora;after 3 p.m.;Sunday;July 6;1958. Services will be held Tuesday;July 8;1958;at 11 a.m.;in Quinn Chapel;A.M.E.Church;Donora;in charge of Rev.H.H.Burney;and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
