Obituary

Michael J.Stonfer,53,of Newell,died Monday,Nov.11,1957,at 11:45 p.m.in the West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born Aug.29,1904,in Newell,the son of the late John and Mary Orsega Stonfer. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help E.C.Church,Newell,the Loyal Order of Moose 269,Newell,the Santa Barbara Club,Newell,the Fraternal Order of Eagles 390,Charleroi,and was a car inspector for the Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad. He is survived by his wife,Mrs.Anna Reho Stonfer,one son,Michael Jr.,one daughter,Mrs.Hamilton Lynn Jr.,Belle Vernon R.D.3,three brothers,Jack of Speers,Louis of Newell,and Joseph with the U.S.Army at Fort Benning.Ga.,two sisters,Mrs.Alex (Mary) Ferguson,California and Mrs.John (Margaret) Fudutes,Newell. Friends will be received at the McCrory Funeral Home. Prayer there Friday,November 15,at 8:15 a.m.,will be followed by additional rites at 9 a.m.,in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church,Newell,in charge of Rev.A.J.Shay. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. George M.McCrory and son are the funeral directors.
