Obituary

Mrs. Bertha Stanger,83,of Clarksburg, W.Va.,formerly of Belle Vernon,died Wednesday,March 20,1957 at 6:15 p.m. at her home.  She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Mays Lawnng, N.J. Survivors include five daughters,Mrs. Charles F. Anderson of Queens Village,Long Island, N.Y.,Mrs. Cyde D. Smith of Lancaster,Ohio,Mrs. Evan W. (Mary) Thomas of Belle Vernon,Mrs. Kenneth Aspy of Clarksburg and Mrs. P.J. Spicci of Hartford, Conn.;two sons, Russell of Mt. Vernon, Ohio and Wilbur of Henrietta, Okla.,17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her husband, Harry Stanger in 1944. Friends will be received at the Toner Funeral Home,Broad avenue, Belle Vernon,from 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.  Funeral services will be held from the funeral home,Saturday,March 23,at 2 p.m.,with Rev. William H. Schatz,pastor of the First Methodist Church of Belle Vernon officiating.  Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Harold R. Toner,funeral director.
