Obituary

George Seman,Sr.,aged 67 years,of Arnold City,R.D.1,Fayette City,died Wednesday,Dec. 19,1956,at 11 a.m. at his home,following a heart attack.  The deceased was born in Czechoslovakia on Aug. 28,1889. He was a member of the United Mineworkers of America,Local 2025,Baning Mine.  He was a member of St. Mary's Greek Catholic Church of Monessen. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Anna Seman;four daughters,Mrs. Stephen (Anna) Matway of Perryopolis,Mrs. Albert (Sue) Beeler of R.D.1,Fayette City, Mrs. James (Betty) Hausman,R.D.1,Fayette City and Mrs. Charles (Helen) Biksey of R.D.3,Belle Vernon;three sons,George Jr.,Paul and Andrew,all of R.D.1,Fayette City;nine grandchildren and two brothers,Joseph of Perryopolis and Paul of Cleveland. Friends are being received in the McCrory & Son Funeral Home,Fayette City,where Prayer service will be held Saturday at 8:30 a.m.,followed by additional rites at 9 o'clock in St. Mary's Greek Catholic Church,Monessen with Rev. Fr. John Gasper,his pastor,officiating.  Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
